Have you seen KlimaDAO? They are leveraging the liquidity of DeFi to hoard offsets, force the price of them up (to disincentivise greenwashing and incentivise actually reducing emissions). The KLIMA token will be backed by 1 tonne of CO2 reduce or abated, validated by a Verra carbon tonne... The KLIMA token will essentially be the world's first carbon backed currency...
